Editorial note: This was the fourth fiction film of Norodom Sihanouk, in which he goes back to the 18th century in Angkor, ruled by a Regent (Anupheap Ksatra) while his nephew (Prachea Komar or The Little Prince) reaches adulthood and can succeed his late father the King.

Description: It is a love story between a poor fisherman and his beautiful cousin, a peasant girl, who is also loved by the Crown Prince of the Kingdom.
Editorial note: Film of Norodom Sihanouk, made in 1969 in Cambodia in colour 35m/m. Because of the coup d’etat in early 1970, the film sound was not completed in Cambodia and was done in 1980 in North Korea in Korean with English subtitles.

Subject: This was the eight film made by Prince Norodom Sihanouk in Cambodia in 1969. The film, based on historical events, tells the story of Japan’s invasion and occupation of Cambodia in 1945 and the love story between a Cambodian-French girl and a Japanese colonel.

Description: This film shot in Cambodia in 1969, was the last film made by Prince Norodom Sihanouk before the coup d’etat of March 1970. Because of the coup, the sound of the film could not be completed in Cambodia, thus Norodom Sihanouk arranged for the sound to be added to the film in Korean language with English subtitles in the D.P.R. of Korea in 1979.

Editorial note: This was the second fictional film made by Prince Norodom Sihanouk in Cambodia in 1966 and tells the story of a group of people of the upper classes of Phnom Penh, who go on a hunting expedition during which they are surprised by a storm and forced to take refuge in a cave where they are met by a Khmer princess,  who guides them to a palace deep in the forest where a kind Prince, the King of the Forest, resides, who welcomes them and extends to them a charming hospitality.

Editorial note: This was the second film made by Norodom Sihanouk in the D.P.R. of (North) Korea. A Cambodian delegation led by Prince Soryavong (Roland Eng) and his wife Rattana (Princess Diyat) a famous clothes designer, led a Cambodian cultural delegation on a visit to Pyongyang and other cities of North Korea, where they present a show of dances and also some of the fashion creations of Rattana. The latter is suspicious of her husband’s relationship with his secretary Helene, who is secretly in love with the Prince. While in Korea the Prince and his secretary become lovers.
